Q: Do I need NetCollect
to use QuestionWeb?
Yes, you will need both SurveyPro and the NetCollect 3.1 plug-in to
use the QuestionWeb service.

When will my account be opened?
When
you sign up, your account will be created and information sent to
you by the end of the next business day.
Q: Can I try it
without purchasing an account?
Yes, ask for a free one-day trial account when you are ready to
publish your web questionnaire from SurveyPro by clicking the "Get
Demo Folder" button in the Survey Project to Web Site definition
dialog box.
Q:
Does the size of my survey affect the pricing?
No
Q:
Is there a per-respondent charge?
No, but there are limits on the amount of traffic. Higher volume
surveys can be accommodated by requesting a folder with 500 pages
per minute rather than the standard 250 pages per minute. High volume
is not available in the one-day demo folders. Please refer to the
QuestionWeb contract for details.
Q:
How do I purchase a survey slot?
You can purchase online by clicking
www.questionweb.com/order. If you don't have
a credit card you may pre-pay for your account using a check. Please
contact our Sales Department at sales@apian.com

Q:
Can I be billed?
Unfortunately, no. In order to offer this service at such low prices,
we need to keep our billing expenses low by accepting payment via
credit card or pre-paid check only.
Q:
How secure is my data?
Apian considers all client projects to be confidentia. Your data
is accessible only to people with the correct log-in and password
information, so access is completely controlled by you.
With QuestionWeb, you are managing the project yourself.
Survey data resides only on the production Web servers (and server
backups) and is not accessed by Apian staff except upon request.
All data downloads from the QuestionWeb control panel are encrypted
with a 128 bit Verisign certificate.
Q:
Can my survey run under SSL (secure sockets layer)?
Yes, this is an option when you request the folder which adds an
extra layer of security to the respondent's survey pages.
Q:
What kind of server does QuestionWeb use?
Question Web's load-balanced servers are hosted in a premier data
center with redundant internet connectivity, 100% network uptime,
battery and generator power backups, and data backups. 24/365 technicians
monitor the servers for uptime and problems, and a member of the
Apian staff is likewise on call 24/365 in case of emergencies. Access
to data is restricted both within the server center and Apian.

What is the difference between this and your SurveyHost service?
SurveyHost offers a full array of hosting services using professional
web designers. QuestionWeb is a self-service hosting service for
SurveyPro/NetCollect users who need a place to quickly and easily

Are there any limitations to the size or structure of my survey?
QuestionWeb survey specifications are covered by SurveyPro and NetCollect.

Q: What
is the difference between surveys on QuestionWeb and on my own server?
QuestionWeb and running the server application on your server support
the same survey features and capacity with a few exceptions. Both
support piping to ASCII files, but SQL piping requires you to use
your own server. QuestionWeb will display a small 'Powered By' button
and a privacy notice on each page of the survey. Both support customizations
with html edits, JavaScript or VBScript. Technical Support can advise
you how to best approach customization in either environment.
Q:
Do I have to have my IT person assist me with this?
We've designed QuestionWeb to be a quick and easy way for just about
anyone to post their surveys. We have provided detailed, easy-to-follow
instructions to help you get your survey up and running quickly.
We will e-mail your folder ID and password to you. Uploads and downloads
between your desktop SurveyPro and the server are generally handled
with just a few mouse clicks.
Q:
Can I use graphics?
Yes, QuestionWeb supports .jpg, and .gif graphics.
Q:
Can I use movie or sound files?
Not in QuestionWeb. If you need clips in your survey, Technical
Support can advise you on how to customize the published pages for
your own server, or ask sales@apian.com

Q:
Can I choose my own URL?
No, the folder identification is a unique, random number to avoid
duplication in project names. You will receive your URL with your
order confirmation by the end of the next business day after you
place your order
Q:
What will the URL look like?
The URL will be similar to www.questionweb.com/00000/
(the last part of the URL will contain your folder identification
number).
Q:
How do I send invitations to my response pool?
Once we've sent the survey URL
to you, you may post it on your website, send emailed invitations
through your own email program, or use any other media to publicize
your survey.
Q:
What if I want to extend the activity period for my survey folder?
If you wish to keep the folder you have ordered active for a longer
period of time, log into your QuestionWeb account, and click on
the "Extend Folders" button before your folder expires.
If your folder has expired already, you may simply run through the
online ordering process again.
